VISITOR
SERVICES

As a Park Services Attendant in Sanborn County Park, I am generally the first and last person each of our guests will interact with when they visit. I like to think of it as being 'The Face of the Park' for all of our guests.

In addition to collecting Vehicle entrance fees, I pride myself on being knowledgeable about the Park layout & its many resources so that I can accurately assist park guests with directions, as well as provide them with information on the various promotions, brochures, and annual passes we offer. This way I am able to effectively answer their questions (in person and over the phone) and ensure they have the best possible experience during their visit.

I take my role very seriously being the first point of contact for Park guests in the event of emergency and must be capable of performing Basic First Aid and contacting Rangers, Park Personnel, and County Communications via 2-way Radio.

Among my other responsibilities, I also perform various administrative tasks that include: Annual Pass and Firewood sales; Registering campers, group picnic users and Checking permits for special events; Weekly Cash summaries; Verifying and depositing Bank tills & Receipts; and creating and maintaining weekly Camp Logs and Post Pad Markers for the Campgrounds.
